My budgie got caught by our cat, and I brought him to the emergency avian vet. He said there was a 1% chance of him living. He gave him meds and did his best and sent me and the bird home. I brought him into my room, and said "Hey little guy, if you live I'll buy you a bird sized ukulele" and he made a little whistle that sounded like "deal". In a few weeks, he recovered fully and could fly. I found him a bird ukulele with bells and beads, and that's his favorite toy. It Made My Life.
