Less than a year after Google first announced it was sending its Street View team to the Amazon basin, images of the region are now available on Google Maps in a release that coincides with World Forest Day.
Google captured panoramic views of "the rivers, forest and communities in the Rio Negro Reserve" by replacing its famous street view camera cars with a tricycle and a boat. They've left the camera equipment with residents of the region, who will collect even more photos.
