The poor people of Kazakhstan simply can't catch a break.
A Kazakh athlete who won a gold medal at an international shooting competition in Kuwait took to the podium to receive the honor of having the former Soviet republic's national anthem played over the PA system.
But instead of "My Kazakhstan," the female sport shooter was awarded an earful of the mock-anthem penned for Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat movie.
This latest mixup comes just two weeks after a similar incident involving Ricky Martin's "Livin' La Vida Loca" took place at a Kazakh ski festival.
