ln writing about the FBI's inquiry into the Chattanooga, Tennessee shootings, The Boston Globe made a typo that should send everyone to their weekend with a smile.
Here it is again.
Ed Reinhold, FBI, says FBI has investifarted about 70 leads already. Live Video: http://t.co/nXuiv3rwFm

The Boston Globe straight up owned their mistake, while also giving us the sweet present of saying as part of their policy, they do not delete tweets with typos.
As policy we does not delete typographical errors on Twitter, but do correct #investifarted https://t.co/lT5Bz7WP6f https://t.co/x4UGGA3RSE

All of that in a tweet, which contains a typo in itself.
Well, as you would imagine, Twitter had itself a little love affair with the hashtag:

I guess they couldn't hold it in any longer and just let it fly.
Never be downwind of the news. #investifarted https://t.co/EpyZpjc60h

Meanwhile the @BostonGlobe's chief investifartive reporter is like, "hey, why is everybody laughing?" #investifarted

#investifarted
Definition: The act of investigating the origin of a fart.
Example: "Bro, did you fart?"

It also gave birth to this beauty of a gif, found on Jezebel.
Happy weekend!
