Concept Art From George Miller's Failed Justice League Movie
Remember a time before Zack Snyder, when a Justice League movie seemed impossible to make? All the way back in 2008, Mad Max: Fury Road director, George Miller tried to adapt DC's superheroes into one awesome movie. Unfortunately, it didn't happen, but with the possibility of a documentary about the production on the horizon, a bevy of concept art was released via twitter.
Check out what might have been:
Wonder Woman Flies Through Themiscyra and Demolishes a Sports CarWarner Bros and DC have been wiffle-waffling on the Wonder Woman franchise for over a decade now. With several attempts at a solo film that never saw the light of day, the world's most famous female superhero will finally hit the big screens next year in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
In Miller's adaptation, Diana would have been played by Megan Gale (Mad Max: Fury Road).
AquamanThere was a problem rendering this tweet - it may have been deleted. Before Jason Momoa, there was this Aquaman design from Weta Workshop. The actor set to play the King of Atlantis was Santiago Cabrera from Heroes fame.
Sounds like no one wants the blonde version.
The Martian ManhunterThere was a problem rendering this tweet - it may have been deleted. Here's a sculpture of J'onn J'onnz, the Martian Manhunter. He would have been played by Fury Road's villain Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne).
Superman Fights Wonder Woman
5And to round it all off, here's a storyboard of two of DC's trinity beating the snot out of each other. We'd love to see Superman sport that black 'S' symbol in the future.
So what do you think? Can Zack Snyder match Miller's original vision, or will you always secretly pine for Miller's pre-Avengers movie?
