5 amazing types of robots who can, play catch, work in space, act in terrible plays, throw bricks at people, and just generally be creepy. Looks like the singularity isn't too far off.

Big Dog is incredibly mobile, able to right itself when it falls, able to walk across rough terrian, and enjoys romantic strolls along the beach.
Note to self: DO NOT piss off Big Dog.
Now this little guy is pretty well known, ASIMO walks, talks, is fairly polite, and generally is a better robot than VICI in "Small Wonder." He smoothly navigates his environments and even picks up notes from your neighbors, who apparently are too lazy to text you.
Nothing like a nice game of catch to strengthen the bonds of a robot family.
Is ASIMO smarter than a 5th grader? Not sure, but he's definitely a better actor.
These little guys have a multitude of uses, and when used in swarms they have even shown they can build buildings and other structures. Which sucks for us because that means our robot overlords will have houses.
Robonaut 2 or R2, has been doing odds and ends aboard the ISS for a little while now; which is cool, because space stations, I believe, are a robot's natural habitat. And recently, NASA began a contest for the public to write code for R2, in order to allow it to help clean up around the ISS. Now the human astronauts can be even lazier!
Ecci, is built of flexible plastics and elastics which give this robot functional muscles, tendons and bones. Is that not creepy enough? Then dig this, Ecci is also able to learn from its mistakes. That's right it LEARNS. Well, I'm off to go build a robot proof bunker.
Nope, not creepy at all.
I would have performed all these menial tasks on the ISS for free.
