British boy band One Direction is making music history with their debut album, Up All Night, which has debuted at number one on the American charts.
This means the manufactured tween sensation beat out bands like the Beatles and Pink Floyd to be the first British group to have their debut album start out in the number one position.
If you're not familiar with the latest British invasion, One Direction is a boy band that came together on the UK version of The X Factor. Members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson just ended a 10-week tour of America that even included a stop on The Today Show.
Up All Night has already sold 176,000 copies, which is enough to unseat Adele, the reigning queen of British music in America.
