Four days ago, Reddit user SoundCheckBrew turned to the message boards in search of help restoring a weathered newspaper photo of his great-grandparents and his grandfather, taken shortly after the family returned to the U.S. during World War II. A handful of Photoshop-savvy Redditors volunteered to help, and in a post earlier today, SoundCheckBrew was ecstatic:
"This picture looks amazing! I had to take a moment to really take in what you did! ... Thank you Reddit and Photoshoppers for restoring my Grandfathers picture! Here he is with the final framed and printed copy! ... He was teary eyed."
