If you are going to play "catch me if you can" with the law enforcement, it's probably not a good idea to use your smartphone, let alone tweet "catch me if you can" directly at the district attorney. Believe it or not, this is exactly what the former Amtrak employee Wanda Podgurski did while on the run from insurance fraud charges filed against her in San Diego, essentially paving the road for the authorities to track her down using Twitter's geotagging metadata. Shortly after getting arrested by the U.S. Marshals in Baja, Mexico last week, Podgurski was promptly transferred back to the San Diego courthouse for arraignment.
