This Couple Made Navy History by Being the Men to Share a Kiss in a Homecoming Tradition

Master Seaman Francis Legare won a raffle to be the first off the ship to kiss someone he loves as part of a navy homecoming tradition.When his ship HMCS Winnipeg docked in Victoria, Legare gave a kiss to his partner, Corey Vautour. In this case, it was a kiss that made Canadian history by being the first same-sex kiss between men. 

This isn't the first same-sex kiss shared in the Canadian Navy ever. That honor goes to a female member of the navy and her partner in 2015 at CFB Esquimalt, according to The Star.
