Hi Sylv, We had to send Hobbes on to the Bridge today...I cannot believe he is gone. He fought so hard to stay, but was so uncomfortable last night we knew it was time. I can't even remember how to get the word out here, maybe I should make a Hobbesey-not-LOL? Hugs...

How very wonderful to hear from u - made my day! I am so sorry to hear the pain from the knee surgery was so bad. Such a difficult area to heal up. Glad to hear u are getting around better now and in the long run it will be much better than before the surgery. Now that is good news about Hobbes! Sometimes a change in vets can be just the trick. SOmeone to take a fresh look at the situation. Will pass on your greetings. There have been a lot of changes to the profile page and if u have any problems, let me know and I may be able to help. Ohai, Sylv! I know you've sent me a couple of lovely messages since my knee op...am just now getting my act together! The pain was overwhelming to me, I don't handle it well at all. Butt(!) now I am moving aroung a lot more and can do a few more things...good thing, since there wasn't anyone around to clean the house except my hubcat...LOL! Thanks for thinking of me. BTW, Hobbes has a new vet now, and is actually doing pretty well...found out there is treatment for kidney disease I was not offered by my old vet, so hope it will help hom get his appetite back. Hugs!

Rats, I know u really wanted to get that done and over with but I can understnd why they don't want to do surgery when u are having other medical problems. So do u have to go back to the bottom of the "list" again? That does't seem fair.

I am so glad to hear that. And do tap on your neighbors - they will be glad to help you out cuz they know u would do the same for them. Yep, there is a waiting list which I am on, but it is not too long they say...hopefully only a few weeks. As for carers? That is the part that scares me, as I only have mai hubcat, but he will be able to work from home much of the time I am recuperating. I do have helpful neighbours, too, so hopefully I should be OK...I really don't like having to depend on others for stuff like this, but guess I will just do my best!

Oh noes on the knee! That seems to be one of the joints to go first. I know u have to get on some kind of waiting list there I think? Hope u can get that done soon. Besides Hobbes :) do u have someone who will be able to care for u when u get the replacement cuz I kow there is some recuperation involved from having a few frens here whose loved ones needed repalcements recently.

Oh thank u so very much that u and Hobbes popped in to send me birfday wishes. Means so very much to me to have frens like u. How is everything going? Hope ur summer has inlcuded some fun stuff. My summer flowers are coming to an end and fall bloomers are starting. Being a gardener I see the coming change in seasons. Had a very productive veg garden this year - lots of tomatoes still green and hope they have time to ripen before the cool weather hits. lub and hugz
