Hey man! How have you been?

By Stonebolt on Jan 19, 2013 at 12:00 PM

Thanks ^^ Glad it didn't backfire lol. That's only happened with one comic.

By Cubonator on Jan 19, 2013 at 11:42 AM

Very well executed! Bravo!

By Stonebolt on Jan 17, 2013 at 2:02 PM

Thanks :) Definitely can't wait till it's finished.

By Cubonator on Jan 17, 2013 at 1:59 PM

It will be awesome. You have never disappointed, and you never will :)

By Stonebolt on Jan 17, 2013 at 1:31 PM

Sounds good! I really like how the characters design is turning out. It also doesn't look out of place in the world of MLP, which is a plus :)

By Cubonator on Jan 17, 2013 at 1:26 PM

It's going to be fine. You're the site's comic-making extraordinaire! While some people think that is a touchy subject, as long as you deliver a good punchline (which is almost always the case :D) you should be OK. I'm looking forward to it!

Yea adapting what I can find to the lol is what determines if I can make it or not too lol. Doing custom work makes them take even longer. The one I made about Daring Do (Adventuring is Hard) a while back is easily the longest time I ever put into a comic because I had to make a lot of my own stuff match the vector stuff from the show. The comic I should have up tomorrow is the same case. It's my first ever attempt to humanize a pony for a comic ^^ I'm hopping my human design goes over well with the people of MLB, as humanized ponies seem to be a more sensitive area for some reason.

Wow, you sure are a method man! I am jelly. I usually just wait for inspiration and work from that, adapting whatever I can find to the lol. On rare occasions I have to do something specific for a lol, like for the Professional Wife Tossing where I did Cadence's vector :D And yes! School is fun!

By Stonebolt on Jan 17, 2013 at 10:37 AM

Half of those hours consist of planning, staring at a rough outline of the comic on an index card, and hunting screen shots lol. But I enjoy it. And Thanks! School = fun stuff

By Cubonator on Jan 17, 2013 at 10:24 AM

Hoooooly cow! 6-10 hours? That's true dedication right there. Truly enough, sometimes I need a specific vector or a mask for the video and that takes so much time... Best of luck at school, man!

By Stonebolt on Jan 17, 2013 at 9:16 AM

That's how I started getting ideas for my comics when I first started making stuff for MLB ^^ But yea being busy does impact my time onthis site too. Once school starts back up around the 28th I'll still definitely try to make a comic every week, maybe 2. The problem is most of them take 6-10 hours to make and my schooling doesn't like that lol.

By Cubonator on Jan 17, 2013 at 1:57 AM

Well... I have been real busy, but I still want to crank out content every now and again. I still owe MLB a lot, and I want to give back as much as possible. I need to re-watch the episodes with lol-making in mind :P

By Stonebolt on Jan 16, 2013 at 12:33 PM

Glad to see you posting content again ^^ I missed it.

By Stonebolt on Nov 27, 2012 at 3:44 PM

Sounds good! Yea this is really exiting. It was the most fun comments section I've seen since I've been on this site. I think people are definitely having fun and I can't wait to see more updates!

Scratch what I said before. That was us before seeing the positive reaction this has achieved (There are some minor discomfort here and there, but hopefully nothing too serious). The, uh, calendar (?) will be posted this weekend with all the categories for the awards. Hope you'll be looking forward to this!

By Cubonator on Nov 27, 2012 at 4:50 AM

We need to discuss that further, but as of now the proposal is that there will be only 4 categories (Best LOL and Big 3). That way it will be easier to cast votes and nominations. I'll make an image to describe what's happening when.

By Stonebolt on Nov 26, 2012 at 1:40 PM

Yea, hopefully there is no hate storm/hurricane Fluttershy... I'm about to have a troll moment, but if you get a chance, could you ask the mod if there's any way to get a piece of content on the vote page if it wasn't put up on the vote page when it was originally uploaded? Like 10 days after it was posted? I don't want to re-post something to get it on the vote page cause people already favorited it so I wanted to know if they could still put it up.

By Cubonator on Nov 26, 2012 at 1:20 PM

I know, right? I wanted to make something that got input from the fantastic community that is MLB. Hopefully this will go well.

By Stonebolt on Nov 26, 2012 at 1:08 PM

Sounds good. Glad your doing this. It gets people more involved instead of some just panning over the homepage then leaving.

By Cubonator on Nov 26, 2012 at 1:02 PM

Well, since it is me (and the mod) behind this, I am against nominating. I'll just count the votes and make the images for the winners when the time comes :P

By Stonebolt on Nov 26, 2012 at 12:58 PM

Mind nominating me for your own contest? lol

By Stonebolt on Nov 26, 2012 at 11:33 AM

Sounds good ^^ I'll probably start putting up existing strips this weekend, or a bit sooner if I have time.

By Cubonator on Nov 26, 2012 at 11:27 AM

You should totally do that! I'll add you on my watch list right away!

By Stonebolt on Nov 26, 2012 at 11:18 AM

Thanks! And funny that you mention that. I just made a deviant art account last week. Luckily "Stonebolt" wasn't taken yet lol. I put up my Lyra thumbnail and was thinking about uploading all my strips to that site too. Maybe even put <stonebolt.deviantart.com> in very small text at the bottom of new strips for MLB, but I don't know yet.

By Cubonator on Nov 26, 2012 at 9:25 AM

MLB needs more people like you. You're amazing! Do you have a DA account, perchance?

By Cubonator on Nov 2, 2012 at 6:50 AM

Thanks! It was such an honor!
