You are right of course, there is difference between withdrawing and isolating. It is very hard to come back after you have isolated yourself completely. I'm no stranger to depression and missing a friend like Syl certainly has a big emotional impact. I got my fill of the political stuff as well, the amount of vile vitriol was sickening. That is not what this place is supposed to be about. ICHC has always been a sanctuary to me.

I just finished binge watching the most recent season of "Fargo" yesterday. It had serious fallout from people not doing what you suggested. The series is not for the faint of heart, but it's so "out there" with characters' choices and completely unexpected consequences that I can watch it without feeling personally weighed down by it. In fact, it gives me that "Wow, my life may have its bad moments, but **nothing** like this world!" feeling. I guess that plays into the "Cheer up, you bugger" sentiment, too. After all, I'm not in need of fleeing dynamite Killer Rabbits, am I? :)

It is good to see you here again. I hope you will get over this depression. And tho I understand the urge to withdraw, it isn't the best thing to do to handle depression. Never step back so much that you lose touch with your friends. I am struggling a bit myself, with Syl gone, she had such strength and joie de vivre. I'm glad I made you laugh with that lol. Hi, Em. You're welcome, glad to fave, the lol is very much appreciated. One of our dear friends who decamped for Facebook a few tears ago - which I left in December - expressed similar sentiments. I will tell you now the same thing I told them before I left Facebook: focus on the people close to you. They're the ones that matter. "Cheer up, you bugger!" ;-) (((Hugs))) back atcha.
