as long as neither Jack or Bob start spraying and there's no blood flying - you are good to go! i tried this whole thing with letting htem 'meet' thru a door for over a week. And just felt sooo guiltly cause davinci was stuck in a bedroom and dusty had the run of the house while htey 'adjusted'. Finally gave up cause dusty wasn't getting any happier - and let the chips fall. Dusty hisses and occasionally the fur flies. DaVinci is a 'quiet' one -- no hissing - just the occasional YOWL right before he bites. If the tail starts swishing -- get all soft parts out of the way!!! 5 yrs later ( i can't beleive that) they still fight - but- as long as no one's bloody -and so far - no major scars -- i try to ignore it. (also no spraying) good luck as the household adjusts!!!!!

thank you soo much for the melon kat -- thinking ai can't throw that eben tho watermeolon - waterblol -- !!! lol -- glad jack is home and adjusting. my dusty STILL doens't like davinci and the fur does fly occasionally. mostly she hisses and he backs off - unless he's in a 'mood' to tease.

Yeah - i'm really hoping she's not a stray - but worried she is!! And - if she is - where are her kittens! Gonna have to pick up some kitten food maybe and leave it out. Since I know you rescue, I figured you might have some advice. I'll keep my eyes out for her. Normally the cats that wander through my back yard are fat and sassy - obviously neighbors cats that are outside babies. They come up and tease poor Dusty by sitting right outside and hissing at her. (She's a little -- intolerant of other cats -including her brother ). This one just looked too sad! Thanks for responding. *Hugs* kris

Good to hear alls going well with Jack. I had a cat come by yesterday that I'm a little worried about - she was really really skinny - and - looked like a recent Mom. She came up to me for a pet -and I could feel all her ribs. I tried to bring her some food - but- she sniffed and walked away. If I see her again I will try some gushy stuff. ( harder to resist). Unfortunately, I can't leave anything out for her and if she does have kits -not sure where they are hiding. She bolted shortly after the food attempt. Just hoping she's a new mom and only skinny cuase she's nursing. She seemed friendly!!! (ahhh -- hate not knowing - but too many racoons, opposums, chipmonks, squirrels, etc to leave food out all the time ).

i was with my mom whos in her early seventies -- walking down a street in a suburb which has a main shopping area. the guy in front of us had the 'low' riders seriously low -- mom was like - WHAT is with that -- i had to go find the american Idol 'Pants on the Ground' song on the internet for her when we got home. All i can say is -- trip much when i see them! *hugs* kris

That's a cute story. My parents have a golden retriever -- and she reminds me of their dog when she was a puppy. Puppies are too much fun - wish i could have one but not home enuf during the work week. maybe when i retire someday! *hugs* kris
