We don't really have squirrils in Aussie. Plenty of possums, though.

G'afternoon, Cessie. Yes, autumn is just getting fired up over here. The leaves are changing and when the winds blow, falling. The squirrels are busy hiding nuts - or stealing them. There's one squirrel that lives in my backyard that watches other squirrels bury nuts and then come along behind them and digs them up. What a little thief! I love the cool temperatures and the breezes. Definitely my favorite time of year!

Thanks! Are you in the Autumn side of the world?

Hi cheezefriend! I’m trying to find out which profiles actually have someone at home. Please reply to this message – a simple ‘Yes’ will do.

By Cessie on Jul 9, 2011 at 12:52 AM

Yes, I was. :) But thanks for trying. :)

Finally got a Formal Swimware on my own, but see you now have 2. Glad you were able to find some for you and your friend.

Thanks. :)

Yes, I'll keep an eye out for formal swimwear for you. The only reason I've got one is because it was gifted to me. Have a great Caturday! *hedbonk*

Hi. :) Might you please keep an eye out for a spare Swimwear Formal for me? And if possible, for a second Swimwear Formal for one of my friends?

I like thunderstorms, but not when it's during the middle of the day when I need to be walking around. I love getting wet in the rain, but not when I don't have to opportunity to change my clothes. :P I'm glad to hear about your new little companion, and I hope the kitten-dog intergration goes well. :)

It's a good week. The heat broke this past weekend and we're supposed to get some rain today. Might be thunderstorms, but I love those, so that's ok by me. I'm forming a bond with a stray teenaged kitteh I'm calling Jack (see video in My Stuff) and hope to soon be welcoming him to the family. Currently, he'll walk to the door and almost want to come in. The biggest hurdle will be convincing him that the two indoor dogs love kitties and are not a threat. We're going to the vet on Friday for kitty shots. Hope he'll forgive me for that one! Have a great rest of the week - and kick butt in cards! *hedbonk*

Thanks. :) My week's been pretty good. We got to hear a Scripture presentation today, and spent a class playing cards instead of PE. How has your week been?

G'morning, Cessie! Glad you liked the broken vase. I don't need anything in return; just felt like sharing the wealth yesterday. :) Hope you're having a great week! *hedbonk*

Oh, no, I'm not a botanist; just a programmer. I was just giving myself a bad time for not remembering what I should have picked up in school. I seem to remember a lot of trivia. Both spring and autumn are pretty times where I live. In the spring there are blooming trees that follow a sequence so there's always one blooming from early March until late April. And flowering bushes, too. The azaleas come in all colors from snow white to purple to deep magenta. In the fall, the maple trees are my favorite. Their leaves turn a beautiful red-orange and seem to glow in the sunlight.

Are you a botologist? (I think that is what it is called :S) We have Liquid Amber trees all over the place, and they are soooooooo pretty but they are the ones I am allergic to :/ Down further south in Jindabyne where I used to live (and we go there often now) they have lots, as that is very close to the snowfeilds (the rearest fair-sized town). In particular, they have these really tall trees that I don't know the name of that turn yellow and brown before dropping off, and they are sooooooo beautiful too. Thay smell really nice, too. Not like a flower, and everyone else would probably hate it, but it's like a rotting/dead plant smell, but really nice. It smells like home to me :) They also have lots of red- and orange-leaved-trees too. How is it over there?

So sorry about all the weather woes. Good that we can count ourselves among the lucky ones. On a brighter note, I love autumn and use it as a carrot to slog through hot humid summers. Is autumn in NSW a colorful afair? Do you have lots of deciduous trees there? Sorry if that's a silly question; I'm not as up on my Australian botany as I probably should be. Hope your week is going well.

I'm doing okay :) It's Autumn here and my allergies are kicking in (some varieties of leaves affect me and when they are on the ground, it's much easier to touch :/ ) There have been tonadoes here in the past, but they are the exeption rather than the rule, the minority of our weather problems. Cyclones are much more common in Australia, as is drought and also flooding. We have also lost a lot of lives. Queensland recently had a massive, long lasting flood and then while they were trying to recover, a catagory 5 cyclone (the highest they get). Not as bad as Japan, though.

Doing fairly well. How about you? It's springtime here in Tennessee and everything is blooming, so the allergies are kicking in. And with spring time comes some serious weather. Do you get tornados in NSW? Luckily, none of my family has been effected, but many have lost lives recently.
