Thank you for your rat care suggestions. Last night I gave a program on my rats for my son's Tiger Cub troop. I brought five of the eight to school. The kids and the ratties loved it. It was fun. It also, I hope, maybe changed a few minds about rats being dirty, evil creatures and showed people the charm of domestic rats. I love you LOL too and it's been in my list of favorites for awhile. My boy rats are ever so special to me and they help me communicate with our daughter who has Aspergers Syndrome. Having a rat on her shoulder calms her down and it gives us a small part of the world to connect on.

So far he's pulling through. He had urinary issues but he seems to be okay though old and skinny. I was surprised. Went to the vet and got him some meds and he is doing okay. Don't worry about the delayed reaction. I'm just glad to meet someone who knows about ratties and what wonderful buddies they make.

I have eight but one is probably not going to last until morning poor guy. If you look under my pics you will see my boys. My biggest one and the alpha is the size of a squirrel. He is a big old lovey. All of them are. I have two double rexes, (till am), an agouti hoodie, an agouti veriberk, a black berk, a beige rex self, a split cap rex, and a mink veriberk odd eyed dumbo. They are all so adorable. We have a critter nation and they are pretty spoiled guys. So yeah, I've been into ratties for a coupla years now and they will always be a part of my life. Most people just don't understand what fantastic little critters they are.
