I think Auntie "works" because she just doesn't care what people say about her. In some ways she is very real - the kids in elementary school used to call her Bertha Allbutt. "She" got rheumatic fever in 1st grade, spent a whole year in bed, gained weight, got mercilessly bullied and beat up because of it when she could finally go back to school. *shrugs* As long as folks continue to enjoy her, that's all that matters. As for our Darling Phil, he's had a lot on his plate IRL and limited internet time/access at home. He still pops in every now and then. Send him some love. Oh, yes, Sturgis...it is really something else! What happens in town is pretty wild; what goes on in the campgrounds (Glencoe and Buffalo Chip, most notably) is beyond belief!! The sensitive and morally pure should really just stay home. ;o) *hugs*
