Ohai. I was thinking bout you tonight and how much I miss *seeing* you on ICHC. I was remembering the chaos of collectibles and how we worked to help old peeps and new peeps finish before the deadline. You were a lifesaver many times when we needed to relay them. I hope you are doing well and had a great Thanksgiving. Make us some funnies, please, and don't disappear again. Hugs wally01 (Linda)

Can you relay a collectible to SWinNW? Linda

Yeah, one of the reasons for friending her was so I could *hopefully* help her out somewhat. Any of your help with that would be very much appreciated! Kthxbai! :D

Hey, a friend of yours sent a message to someone asking for some help with collectibles. If you're not burned out by all of this I think you could help her. It is Ginkochiless. Maybe, I could help you with a few for her. Linda(wally01)

I love the "nest" idea. I'm almost 65 years old, and I still make a "nest" in my favorite chair to read or watch TV. I get a couple of fuzzy throws and a pillow or two and root around until I get really comfortable. The only thing is that I usually fall asleep or at least nod off a bit! That causes me to have to reread whatever it was that I'd just read or lose track of the plot in the TV show. Well, at least I'm comfortable. As for the scary stuff, I don't watch it anymore. Hugs, Linda

At that time, I was small enough to make what my mom called my "nest". I would bring a couple blankets and probably have a few pillows in the back seat and just arrange them until I was comfy. Got to be pretty adept at falling asleep in the car without waking up with a kinked neck. :) As for the scary ones, I'll just turn some relaxing music on of some sort, usually classical, and I'll be good with that.

It sounds like you had some good times, too, even if it meant traveling. The scary ones always made me afraid to sleep upstairs in my room. I had to have a nightlight, I still do! Linda

That's some pretty cool stuff. My family has gone cross-country with my dad's jobs or just going on a road trip and we'd end up being in the car for quite a while. My mom started checking books on tape out from the library and we'd listen to those on a trip and then we found a good radio channel to listen to and just enjoy a couple hours of X-Minus One and Dimension X and things like that. What was really good, especially when driving at night was listening to Lights Out with the squeaking door and The Inner Sanctum with all the dead people jokes.

My Grandad and i were the ones who camped out by the radio especially on Sundays. I remember Fibber McGee and Molly, Jack Benny, Kate Smith (singer)-her theme song was "When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain" I believe, Edgar Bergen with Charlie McCarthy, and a few others. I live in the same house, and the radio still works. I gave it to my cousin this summer. My folks had heard Orson Welles' "War of the Worlds" on that radio, and the announcement of the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It had a short wave band length, and they used to get war news from all over. A lot o history delivered by that big wooden box. Old stuff. Linda

That's funny. :) I've tried mimicking his voice and gotten a few strange looks. His laugh was most certainly unattainable for me as well. Just can't quite get it right. Oh well. Had a good time trying anyway!

I EDd your conversations with Shadow about the old radio show with that name. We didn't have a television until 1953, and I can remember sitting on our living room floor playing with my doll while listening to that show. I was 6 years old. My Grandfather used to laugh at me when I'd try to drop my voice really low and say, "The Shadow knows." old times, but good memories. Linda (waly01)

Thanks to azevedan for putting together this message! - Ohai, cheezpeeps! On the eve of the great collectibles sale, here are some of my thoughts. If you still need things and you have coins, use your coins for the most rare that you need…those original Dr. Tinycat and the 4’s in the old sets. If you are all set, but have extra coins, wait a few days to see who is able to buy what for him/herself. Those of you with lots of extras – there are peeps who still need collectibles, collectibles that you have! Please try to gift to each person each day! Let’s help finish each other off! Those of you who need collectibles – please, PLEASE just ask each of us for what you need. It’s very hard keeping track. We want to help – make it easy for us! Looking for more names either to help out or hit up, send me a message! Kthnx! ~catena
