Hai Kissankello friend! I think there is flowers on the wild strawberries will have to check to see if there is any sign of some strawberries coming too! It's been pretty wet here so had not much time in the garden tho i did some weeding out today.. before more rain tomorrow! The lavender sounds so lovely just the spot for it so you can get that lovely smell! I love it too must get some as the ones i had were killed off in the bad winter last year.. Hugs muchly have a lovely weekend!!!

Hi Kissankello! The cottage sounds like heaven! So glad you enjoyed the break.. it;s great to see summer is here and the weather trying to improve. The garden still keeps me busy alto finished the fencing it could just do with some paint now to protect it. have a lovely week! X

Thanks Kissankello hopefully it will all come together! It's been pretty wet here and lacking in heat for May but the weeds still keep coming! Hope it won't be long before you can reach the cottage and spend some time unwinding in the beauty! XX

Hey Kissankello! Glad you had such a lovely Easter. Visiting the candy factory sounds really fun too! That is cool that the birds are coming back to the cottage. Must be great to get such different seasons! We have very mild winters here so it doesn't snow much if at all. Where are you planning to travel next? I have just a week left of school and then on May 18 I go to Dallas (3 hrs away) for 10 weeks for my consulting internship. Crazy to think I'm nearly halfway done with my program at school! But it is only 2 years so it's pretty short to begin with. Today my fiance and I went to Buda (a small town 20 min away) for their annual Weiner Dog Races. It was so funny to see all the daschunds running in the little track they painted in the field! There are videos on YouTube if you are curious about it. One of our friends' families was racing their two dogs-- it was fun to see them. All in all they said there were 600 dogs at the festival and probably 200+ were racing! Hope you have been well!

Hai kissankello my friend thanks so much the fence is slowly getting there have to hunt more bits of wood. Easter was fine thanks too much chocolate in the house to nom sounds like my idea of heaven visiting a chocolate factory i would be in danger of running them dry! Hope you can soon get to the cottage won't be long now til may and the early signs of summer. hugs and love ..

Happy Easter to you too, Kissankello! Sorry for not responding for a long time, but I have been extremely busy with my magpies. They were making their nest again close to my balcony, but now I haven't seen them for a while and I'm worried something has happened to them. It also snowed for a whole day last week, which really delayed me from going outdoors for walks again. I miss summer. I hope you're having a birdful spring time!

Hi Kissankello sadly they are not real willow but have tried to weave them in and out and will hopefully get some smaller sticks to hide some gaps then paint it to protect the wood wishing you a lovely Easter my friend much love always x

Hi Kissankello! So sorry for the delay in my response!!! School and such has kept me from checking my cheezburger account. Thanks for the kind birthday wishes and the great links. I also appreciate your advice about when to visit- very helpful! I'm excited to figure out when I can come- it won't be until I am done with school (in about a year) or later but it's always good to have some great travel destinations to look forward to. I am glad you tell me all about the nature aspects of Scandinavia because that is what I think it is harder for a guidebook to describe. Have the migratory birds returned? Do you have any special plans for Easter? We will probably just relax and do a brunch at a nearby restaurant with my sister and her boyfriend. Hope you are doing well, my friend!

Hai friend! Yup Saint Patrick's day was last Saturday not that we did that much! The pathway is just earth really but making it surrounded by willow like fence that i will paint.. it trails up the hillside to a seat at the top.. trying to make the most of the hill even if its covered in dead tree;s awaiting cut have a wonderful weekend too Kissankello! X

Hi Kissankello! Aunt Lyyti might well be just jealous, since she's used to being the princess in the household. I have birdwatched very carefully, but I've lost count of the birdies, since my hoomins aren't always home to do the counting for me. I'm looking forward to spring: sunshine and birds are among my favourite things! Your birdsightings are impressive. I haven't seen any chaffinches yet, but I'm sure I will when the summer comes. I'm not familiar with sparrowhawks or redpolls, but I googled them, so I now know what to look for :) Redpolls are very cute indeed, and SO tiny! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend my friend!

Hey Kissankello! That's amazing that the spritz recipe has been passed down for so many years! I really want to visit Scandinavia-- learning Swedish would be great too. My dad speaks a little Swedish (he took some courses in college) and he enjoyed reconnecting with his heritage that way. Swedish Lapland sounds lovely! I'll be sure to keep it in mind when I am able to come visit Scandinavia. What time of year is best to visit do you think? I also enjoyed the collectible system and sharing with others. Too bad they shut it down. Hope you are having a great weekend! Any special plans?

Hai Kissankello! Thanks yup dad is stronger now he is 76 now and i guess it takes longer to recover he's always been a very active man and i think being in pain and not able to get out and about was hard for him hopefully with Spring coming he will feel better! Hugs to you friend!

Happy new year to you too, Kissankello! Your guess was correct: I did visit my aunties. Everything went well during Christmas even with auntie Lyyti, but on new years eve she suddenly just "snapped" at me! Very confusing... No new toys for me, but lots and lots of noms :) My hoomin's aunt had some storm losses, since she owns some forrest and about 200 trees fell during the stormy days. I didn't have storm losses, but instead I was taken to the vet last week. That was probably even worse, since I'm kinda scared of going there..They said I'm completely healthy and then complimented on my bravery. That birdwatching and point-counting sounds interesting! Can I participate too? I'm not good at counting though, but a week ago I saw some pigeons: they flew straight to my balcony! That was very exciting. I hope your having a birdful week, my friend!
