hey-o!!! things have bin gud. no, school is over TOMORROW (one more day!) but my old elementary school got out today and my mom is out to lunch with all of the other teachers. she teaches special ed. there. well, you wont be bored this summer! neither will i... im doing all honors classes next year and i have a boatload of summer work. i finished the science and reading stuff in about 2 days :)... but i still have waaaayyy too much in math and social studies and another book to do a report on in English. its going to be a long summer... Calculus II? sounds fun... good luck with ur first high school student! cyooot!!!!! i finally got pictures of stella and teh chicks (who arent exactly chicks anymore) along with a picture of a little girl a babysit inside of the chicken coup with 2 chicks on her lap. ill try to upload them later... no, the jazz band wont preform again until next year... I PICKED UP A SOUSAPHONE THE OTHER DAY IN BAND!!! it was AWESOME! of course im too small yet to play it, but i have to wait until high school anyway to be in the marching band. im not doing much this summer, but i might bet a violin!!! how bout u? vacations? relaxation? l8r!!!

anyway, math- yes, we have been working on y=mx+b. we learned about the line going through the origin, but teh teacher didnt call it a "direct relationship." i think we might have done negative slope, but teh teacher didnt use any kind of formula to represent it. ttys!!!

u should totally start practicing again and play in front of a whole bunch of people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that would be AWESOME. stella has been doing much bettur and her eye iz normal again. :) she's been spending much more time outside despite the fact that teh chickens have also been spending more time out of their coop. can do! i'll have to check it out... although im sure no one in my family will watch it because we all hate movies. *shrug* were not playing any new music for jazz band until next year, but we are performing again on friday. my school does something called "Jazz in the Parking Lot" that used to be just fur high school. there is a little grassy area near teh back parking lot at the school and we obviously just play jazz. the junior jazz band will be doing the same two songs.

no, i dont think ive ever heard the original Rock Around the Clock played. in any other band, you're supposed to always keep the conductor in your peripheral vision, and look directly at them in some parts of tricky songs. in jazz band, however, the conductor counts the band off and then only conducts when the band needs help, such as around 0:25 i Proud Mary when the tenor sax fell behind. its mainly the percussionist's job to keep the band in time. The conductor usually keeps the band in time, and also cues certain instruments after long periods of silence, and also cues dynamics. do you play any instruments outside of a band??

stella's eye is getting a little better, but its still a little cloudy. it doesnt look like its bothering her anymore. thats a a relief, but still, hail!? i heard it was pretty bad i some places. in math, yesterday we took a test on the slope-intercept formula and graphing inequalities. of course, the test was so long that no one finished. we're going to finish it on monday. SCHOOLS ALMOST OVER!!!!! :)

yay! not really... it's a little hard when ur still growing because your arms get longer and the posistions have to be in the same place. you move the slide about 3 or 4 inches to change position. canoeing was fun in teh beginning... but it got old real fast. i came home today to find stella with a cloudy eye! she can see out of it fine and it looks ok in the light, but we have no idea what happened! did you get hit by the tornado last night? im states away from where it hit and we still got big gusts of wind! kthxbai!!!
