Thank you! I've been trying to find out why I can't see the comments, and was told they don't come up with Explorer, but they're working on it. It's so nice to hear(see?) lolspeak again. It's a stress reliever!

Ohai Lungdoc, now you are going to make me confess that the only music my chimes made was when the wind blew! I bought thin walled copper pipe and cut them and let the wind make the music. I have no idea how to cut them or make them in a musical note. As the old saying goes, I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket! I just like making and designing stuff and I really liked working with metal and wire. Unfortunately my hands will no longer allow me to do that. I have Lupus and my body just doesn't recover from overuse as easily as it used to. But I can still design on paper so I am satisfied. Thanks for your kind inquiry and interest!

Ohai Lungdoc! Thanks for answering my questions. Sorry to dash your romantic notions about my filigree thingie. But I made that as a top piece for some copper windchimes. I was playing with copper for awhile, making windchimes mostly. It got kinda too expensive to continue expecially since no one wanted to pay more than $store prices. And I guess my inspiration was all those old houses tucked away here and there. The NO area is surrounded by bits and pieces of old plantation houses too. That old culture never really left the area.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! Yes, I have been lurking for years and finally realized that I need to participate in something that I love so much on a regular basis. I just cannot figure out what time the postings are released and always thought that I would be replying days later! I love the cheeze universe and have been talking in lolspeak for a long time, to the consternation of friends and families. Happy to hear that you have ties to this sorta/kinda part of TX. I am originaly from the New Orleans area and when I (eventually) settled into this area, I was blown away by the forested, rolling hill beauty! Let's face it, the highest point above sea level I had ever seen growing up was the levees along the Miss. River. Thank you for welcoming me!
