Well, it is much better to know and maintain control. With kitties it is rare enough that vets mostly do not catch it, and even if they suspect you have to take the kitty to school of veterinary medicine to do the ultrasound. Sherman had it so bad he went from a kitty who looked overweight (water retention) to a kitty with his lungs full of fluid in a matter of hours. Unfortunately kitties cannot tell us something is wrong, and if we do not know enough to realize something is wrong, we lose our friends. I am happy you have yours recognized and are being treated for it.

If we had known, he could have done well for years or still have died when he did, we just didn't have any or enough information. The Breeder gave us another kitty, but it was devastating anyway. I still miss him. Teh Shadow
