Glad to hear you are doing so well. I'm well. I had a diagnostice procedure today but had no problems with it. My daughter came to take me and is now making dinner. Yay!

I think it sounds like you will succeed in doing a great job of learning to be a psychologist or even something else if you change your mind. About a new cat, I think not any more now. We're both old and have health problems. There have already been some days when caring for these was too much work for me. I have good memories of her and the ones before. Maybe when we can't live on our own any longer we can live somewhere they have pets for everyone to share. I crossed the street today to meet a neighbor cat I hadn't seen before. Young and pretty, mostly white with black eyes and tail.

Thank you for saying so. Sounds like you are also aiming high and planning a life of helping people. There is such great need in many areas. We here don't always hear about them unless a crisis comes I'm not very good company today. My favorite cat got very sick and wasn't eating. The vet had to come put her to sleep yesterday. Think I'll go outside to work for a little while now before dinnertime

Pretty soon a nice young man came to work there and he liked me. I thought I wanted another one who was out of town but we kept company, had lunch together and started going to the movies and dinner. I still didn't think it was serious until my best gf died of hepatitis at the age of 20. The saddest thing in my life. he was so good to me and in the spring we got married. My family was not pleased because he is American born Japanese. pretty soon a little girl came along and then 2 more. He was a good father and worked hard. His people were very kind. Now it's been 54 years. He's not well these days. I never expected that I would have to take care of someone but I do and am thankful that we have had a good life. the picture is at our party when we were married 50 years. Our grand daughters then would be around your age. They are in college and doing well. The older is doing a program in Cambodia for the summer teaching the rural people about sanitation. I'm very proud of that because sh

Are you saying you're 21 years old and trying to decide what to do with your life? Sorry I can't give you any very good advice. I grew up in a fairly small town and knew that I would have to get education and leave in order to have a better life than just hang around home and marry the first guy that seemed ok. That was what my mother did and it worked ok but she wanted more for me. My brothers joined military and then were able to make a life for themselves but girls were not encouraged to do that. So I went to college, took a course that seemed interesting, thinking all along that I might not finish. When I heard my father and brothers said something about that I go mad so I did finish. Went to work in hospital lab doing blood tests and that kind of thing.(getting long here)

Yes, you too. I try to find joy in every day. At this age it doesn't take much to make me happy.

I didn't really know very much at all about it. I'm glad to know that it's not like those other places. They sound like they would be terrible places for women. I sometimes watch travel programs on tv but do not travel now. I don't sleep well in a strange bed and then everyone suffers because I'm not happy. They'd rather have me stay home. and that's ok . There are old people like me who do travel and I think they are very brave. I'll be happy to see their pictures.

I don't think she told me very much . It was about 20 years ago and a business trip so she probably only saw a few of the most popular things and probably didn't meet any "real " people. I liked your comparison of that evil person to the smelly sox.

Ohai, I wasn't sure you would write again. Glad you did and glad to know more about you and your country and beliefs. I had forgotten that my friend went there several years ago on a business trip (computer company) i'm glad to know that your life isn't like that of the Irani and others It's very true that many people just accept what the "religious" old men say instead of reading for themselves. Those old men are often the greatest sinners.

Very interesting. some of us here think those foods are very nutritious. do you cover your head? I don't quite understand the reasoning for that and heard that in France it's now against the law. Maybe that if everyone looks more the same in dress there will be less trouble. The politicians have always tried to make trouble for as long as there's been politicians. Maybe the worst of it is that they are usually old men and the young men have to go kill each other. I don't like that or that in many cases old men politians think they should control what women can do with their lives. women have just as much sense as they do and should be able to control themselves as to careers and child bearing etc. I hope I'm not making trouble. Some people in this country have some of the same attitudes still and I feel they are wrong. My father and brothers thought it would be wasteful for me to go to college but even though I didn't work long at a career I met a much better quality of man for husba

Thanks f or all that. Yes, I have 3 daughters and 2 granddaughters. Once thought I might like to have a boy but it's easier all the same. Tell me sometime about what life is like in Turkey. I have no idea what that part of the world is like.
