My kids and family (furry and human) know I love them the best. Other humans in my life have to become as close as family and then I love them, too. But humans I meet on a day-to-day basis have to show me they respect and care for other beings before they earn my love - and I see animals do that much more often than humans do. He seems to be adjusting to his blindness and isn't yowling nearly as often and when he does, he calms down if he hears our voices or if we go give him a snuggle. He's one amazing lil fellow. Hugs to you for your kind words! We'll still tke him to the vet on Tues to be evaluated but as long as he doesn't seem to be in pain/distress and as long as he can take care of himself (with some help from us occasionally), we'll follow his lead. Bless you for your support and kindness.

And Jerry sends you hed bonks right back - but then he's bonking into everything these days, poor guy. Hey, he's my hero, though!! What a survivor! He refuses to hear the fat lady sing - he's hanging around, thank goodness. I know it can't be too much longer, but I think he wants his 19th birthday party on Nov 14th. Seriously. He loves buttercream frosting and he's gonna have all he wants!

Your message is very comforting and yes, he's my baby. He's just resting now, no more quaking. He had a little bit of water that I brought to him. He hates the vet so much it'd probably kill him to take him in. So I'll just be watching and loving him and making LOLS like crazy. It helps me, anyway. Thanks again for your kind and thoughtful words and info.

Nor can I!! And he's been such a survivor for almost 19 years, the last two with brain cancer. I think he's just about had it, so I really want to keep him here if possible and let him die at home. If I take him to his vet, I know what they will say. I haven't slept more than about 3 hrs at a time in the last week because I hear him crying and find him lost in the kitchen or near a door or in a corner. He's come back from this kind of thing before, but the yowling is a new twist. I'm giving him soft food and RELAX which is a soft kitteh treat with chamomile in it. He likes those, but it doesn't seem to help much. He's handling this with much more class than I am. I'm the one having trouble letting him go. Sorry to babble. Thanks for your kind words!
