Just set a site up here on ICHC for him and Lolly both. Now I have to link the LOLS to it. I'm also in search of pictures from when we got them as kittens - but those are in a box in a storage room so it my take awhile, Then I have to get them scanned and posted. But it's something I really want to do!

Thank you, wally, for your prayers and kindness. At least Jerry is home with us and not in some emergency clinic. His vet agrees that this is the best thing. My heart is breaking but it's been an honor to know him and be loved by him. Hugs.

Hi wally-Linda! First set of tests done and of course no one will tell me what's up till my doc gets back from Paris (must be nice, huh?) next week. I imagine if there's a bad report from the tests my doc's partner will call me. BLECHHHH!

Oh Linda - the connections we share in our lives blows me away. Yep, we sure do just keep on keepin' on. One foot in front of the other. Occasionally meeting wonderful folks have have been on the same kind of path! It's so wonderful being able to cross paths with you!

I hear you loud and clear. Tomorrow would have been my baby sister Annie's 58th birthday. She died 5/4/10. I can't talk about her yet, but I will be posting a LOL for her shortly. My older sister Molly died 5/20/86 - the day before her youngest child turned 6. I can talk about her. My mom died in 1994 (but she really died when Molly died, if you know what I mean). I can talk about her. My dad died in 1974, and I can speak of him. Grief is an odd thing. Just when you think you're past it, some small thing will touch you and there it is again - as intense as ever. I feel that way about my furry family members as well, but I can't talk about any of them - they are still locked in my heart. Oh boy - do I need to get some sleep. Hugs and great love to you, dear one.

I completely agree with you and what you said makes perfect sense when applied to Jerry. He's always been the alpha pet in our home and being blind makes that impossible and must terrify him. I think he's adjusting to it a bit now, but I can see the terror in his eyes. Luckily, Lolly is such a follower cat that she bows to Jerry always - even now and she's twice his size. Thanks for telling me about your dad. Having lost two sisters to cancer and both my parents to other fatal illnesses, I know how hard it is to even bring it up. Bless you, Wally. Wish I could headbonk you through the screen.

Thanks. Jerry is still doing pretty well, but it's very rainy today here in Chicago so the arthritis is bugging us both. I'm just glad he still wants to play occasionally and that he seems much more alert and inquisitive. He's such a grand character! Hugs and scruffles to you and yours, m'dear.

What a drag for you :( But again, thanks for helping me keep my sanity over this. I agree that some folks lead pretty sad lives if all they can do is make a fuss over imagined slights. Must be very exhausting for them. I'm very lucky - I have my family, my animals, and a number of great friends here. There was a time when this would not have gotten to me...but hey, I'm human 0.o

Okay. I've done my breathjing exercises and read some wonderful messages from the folks here. I'm better now. I have unfriended the people who accused me and a few who were what my mom used to call "coat holders" (people who enjoy stoking the fire of a disagreement). I'm back but will just be a bit touchier for awhile I think. Thank you for your kind words and confidence.

According to venusdemilo and horseshooer I didn't message them anything. I favorited a LOL which they found offensive but which I interpreted as satirical: This was a LOL (satirical) posted by some user named fastfood. I thought it was funny because it struck me as supposed to be a satirical comment. I apologize if I though it was funny and misunderstood. I certainly did not mean to offend anyone by my actions!
