Hi Thanks for accepting my friend request. I appreciate your offer of help in trying to fund a shelter. However, my county is one of the smallest in Tennessee, and it is the 11th poorest county in the United States. There would be no funds available for the county to match what we could raise. Several friends and I do what we can as individuals to help the "dumpees" that we get. There is a holding pen where they put the strays picked up in town. Most people take their unwanted animals out into the county and let them go. I live in the county so I get my share of them. I am about at my limit now. Friday I was asked to take two orphaned kittens so now I'm on an every 3 hours feeding schedule for them. I think in about a week they'll be able to lap, and things will be better.
