Oh, Candide! I love the music for that...played in a pit orchestra for it once. Music is actually quite difficult for a stage musical! That's why orchestras sometimes perform the overture just as a normal piece. The time signature keeps jigglin' around. Everything syncopated.

and that was at the same concert where i cornered Aaron Copland and got his autograph!!!!!! that was a thrill and an embarrassment to my husband... as i took off afterwards and ran to the stage door and got there FIRST!

no i play nothing. But i am an enjoyer. Have actually thought of taking up the violin, but ive tried the piano and that didnt work.... so.... i think ill stick to my quilting and other projects. My heart sings to color too. I go on sensory overload. Have at concerts too. I once yelled out, play it again!! And the orchestra played Bernsteins Candid over again!!! :)

Oh dear! Well, Mozart Maiden plays violin! the cello IS beautiful...I have always been glad I started it (when a kid) except when I've had to travel with it on the plane. Then I wish I had played the piccolo or something! Do you play anything? It's never too late to start...I until recently taught a fair number of adult beginners!
