Morning - Quote Tuesday - "Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear to be smart until you actually hear them speak."

Good Morning, Friday's quote - "When life hands you lemons, grab some vodka and make several lemon drop shots." Unless your under 21 and then you didn't hear this from me. :)=

Howdy Lurlene - daddy's sick as a dog today. This has to be the proverbial "man-cold," I've honestly never had one hit me this hard...& I have to do a Wimba Class session tonight - yay.

And we're proud to have you in our family - just remember to keep them cheerleaders quiet, don't wanna spook the kids y'brought down here before Otis has the chance to experience 'em, heheh!

Oh, was yours one of the ones recalled? My youngest's was recalled right when we had a computer crash so we couldn't back up her music (she has to have it playing to go to sleep.) So, the wife claimed an old MP3 player of mine for her to listen to...because she kept the new iPod for herself. Tsk, tsk, & I thought I learnt your maw better 'n that - heheh!

Sounds like you're going through much the same situation when I was young. You said your boyfriend loves you & then into your mother calling you names. Are the two connected; does she disapprove of him? I resisted all manners of authority when I was young & eventually those who raised me just let me "run wild." Over the years since then, a verse of one of my favorite songs of my youth has come true: "Teenage angst has paid off well - now I'm bored & old." I could spout off a hundred things that you've already heard - most of it the same things I heard when I was young & didn't want to hear it. But, most of it turned out to be true...guess some of us just have to learn "the hard way." Of course, I have defied several things as well. "You'll grow out of metal;" "You won't always have long hair;" "You won't always dress like that." I've never understood the last one because I've never followed any trends or styles - I just wear what I want. Perhaps they meant that one day I'd always wear khakis & a polo shirt or something - but frak that! Throw me on some jeans (leather ones if it's cold enough,) a rock & roll/"pop-culture" t-shirt, slip into some Redwings, "combat boots," or Chucks (that's usually only when it's really hot, though) & I'm good to go. Don't be afraid to take the advice of "older people" to heart - you can glean from it what may appropriately fit your life & still come out the other side as yourself. I'll put it this way - if I were to go to a class reunion, everyone would recognize me because I haven't changed on the outside; I highly doubt I'd recognize any of them, though, because most people follow the popular majority & that usually begins with changing one's "image." I've never cared for the popular majority's opinions nor to be included in it. Just be you, who YOU want to be...but don't try to "grow up" too fast. Adolescence (which technically doesn't end until around age 24) is a beast, but adulthood's no more tame. I doubt any of this counts as "advice," but I'm just trying to give you some perspective from possibly a different view than you're used to from most "adults." I can't really give you advice on your mother because I don't know her - but it is true that humans often say things out of anger or to grab your attention that maybe they didn't mean. For instance, in her anger/desperation she may called you "dumb" when what she really meant was "I don't think you're considering all the options, outcomes, etc." Just trying to help :)

Well, it weren't no dare & that's just how we clowns see fit t'raise younguns. Be glad I don't plan to raise y'like Tiny, heheh!! What's the matter, kid, dontcha like clowns? Why? Don't we make y'laugh, aren't we f'in' funny!? (Now you need to see the sequel, Devil's Rejects, it's WAY better than 1000 Corpses, in my opinion anyway. Takes place right after but the protagonist view is turned from the "victims" to the "perpetrators"...you get to feel like part of Cutter's family, it's great. I actually didn't like anything about 1000 Corpses other than the disc menu & a few lines from the family until I saw Devil's Rejects.)

Well, that's good t'hear. Now you be a good lil' Tyrant & get out yonder 'n sell some masks for daddy...and if they don't wanna pay the price - just do what you do & bring 'em on back here. Can never have too many human suits & y'know how Bubba likes to wear them dead-skin-masks over his face all the time, 'specially when he's playin' with his chainsaws, heheh!

Heheh, that was a quote from Baby in "House of 1000 Corpses." The only email I use is my getyournails.com account. Just slap my first name in there with an at symbol and that's me.
