We would have some really large roaches wander in to my last office. We used those plastic deli containers to mix stuff in and I would try to capture them in one of those and take it outside. I'd do that with spiders *ugh* too!

I let MOST bugs out, but sometimes I have to kill.. like the other day when I found a roach. I couldn't CATCH it, but oh well. EW!! I haven't seen any since.

I've even been known to take the occasional bug outside rather than kill it. Especially crickets, which are supposed to be good luck. And I have lots of decorative butterflies in my potted plants in front of my apartment and even three on my security screen door.

I love most animals and birds.. even a few bugs like moths or butterflies.. and an occasional pretty caterpillar.

The kitties and I love to watch all the hummers, sparrows, doves and squirrels that come for food. Even though the squirrels are pretty smart, I think I like the hummers best!

I thought there should be something, but since it's in the courtyard of my building, I figured it should be subtle. They're just roundish black landscaping stones, but it's the thought. I just couldn't toss it in the trash!

Oh, the stones sound so BEAUTIFUL, Roufus WOULD have LIKED that :) and even though you have the other sweet birdies, I'm still sad for that pretty one you lost.. never a good feeling.

Thanks, my dear. Hope you are doing much better! I have a number of ruby throated hummers at the feeder, but this little Rufus just showed up a couple of weeks ago. the other day I realized I hadn't seen and then found it on the ground later. I buried it under the feeder and covered the grave with a circle of stones with a larger one in the center.

I've learned that the HARDEST part of LIFE.. is letting go. I'm too sensitive, I know, because it practically kills ME in the grieving process.. amazed I am still even HERE :( so I'm sad for your loss, as well.. but I won't let anything get me down today!
