Abby, that was SO very kind of you!!!! I have already passed it along. Here is my new friend's response: "Ohai nu frend! I has a major estatic over my new collectible. Fank you, fank you, fank you!" Those FANK YOU's belong to YOU!!!!! :o) (HUGS)
Hai Abby!!! Might you send me one of your extra Invisible Bike collectibles? I have a new friend that's looking for one of those elusive Karots and I'm feeling bad that she hasn't found one yet. But... she is missing the Invisible Bike too and I'm sure that will put a SMILE on her face!! (HUGS)
THANK YOU so very much, puddlemouse!! It has made me HAPPY that you gave me your extra Karot!! The older collectibles are so hard to find. I didn’t start collecting them until after the first 4 or so sets were retired. So it’s been a real hunt to find my missing ones. I’ve had several friends help me to obtain some and I have other friends that are still looking to complete their own collections. If you don’t mind, I might ask you for something else down the road for a friend or two. You’re the BEST!!!!! :o)
Hi nu cheezfrend!! Pleased to meet you!! I'm very much into the collectibles and I was wondering if you'd like to trade your extra Karot collectible? I'd be more than happy to complete some of your sets in return.
^_^ Please to liek me on FB!! http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/Emily-Petry-Cat-Grooming/130956446960339 ^..^

Haven't re-read CE since high school, though I own a lot else of Clarke's. I am relistening to a lot of music as an adult; be interesting to read it on the same basis. ** Bookstores tend to pay minimum wage. The assumption is that you'll spend a lot of time reading (you do).
You FOUNDED it! And there's a brand-new one, too. Yeah, grew up reading reading the heavies--Heinlein, Asimov, Sturgeon, Pohl, Anderson, Bradbury, and--first among equals--Harlan Ellison. Hundreds of books. Kinda burned out in the late 70s when I worked in a bookstore, got rid of most of my collection, but I'm changing my mind. So, yeah, it's burned into the psyche.
Since we're on a roll, you should like this one. It combines Star Trek and Oz. LOLzes, R. http://mine.icanhascheezburger.com/view.aspx?ciid=2357909
In fact--and I SWEAR I was not doing this on purpose--each contains multiple references. "Drool" refers to "Independence Day". "Engineering?" refers to "Galaxy Quest". Damn, now I'll have to TRY to do that . . .
Keep digging. Dehr's stawr trekkeh stufz, too. (One nooer dan da jonesy wun.) THX, LOLz, r.
Hmm, worked for me. Anyway, it's on my LOLz page 1, fourth line down as of 0700 12/8/08. kthxbai, bwod
