Honey, none of your stuff knows where it belongs! You need to have a long talk with it and tell it to stay put!!! This slipping and sliding outta place must be a distraction, not to mention painful. Nothing knows where the other thing is on any given day.

Melanthisbast, I had an extraordinary Christmas...truly. I got to talk to LittleAPC in Canada for the very first time after spending 2 1/2 hours on the phone trying to get my phone company worked out. Then, I called Wally01 and Marmie. Talked til 2:00 in the morning. I Couldn't go to sleep because I was so keyed up. It was great.

Out of all the cheesepeeps I would have loved to speak with, including you, I managed to speak to three from 8:00pm to 2:00am...Man, we talk a lot. Love you! I hope you are feeling ok. I know it's a struggle. We aren't young anymore, are we?

By NCcharmer on Dec 24, 2011 at 12:22 PM

Hey darlin!!! Here's hoping you do have a wonderful Christmas. If you can't be on with us, know we all love you and wish you and your whole family well.

By NCcharmer on Dec 20, 2011 at 8:33 PM

Actually, because I will alone all Christmas, Marmie and I are hosting a Christmas Party all Christmas Day. Stop by...all lols will be posted to my new Site called Christmas 2011. I am very glad to hear about Ears. It gives me hope for Christies cat with the same problem. With any luck, the cold will be gone and the snow will be back and you can open the door and let all the cats in to see their presents. You do know they must be curious as all get out.

How is Ears?

By NCcharmer on Dec 19, 2011 at 1:13 PM

Let me know when you have any information about Ears!! I am hoping everything will be ok...for both of you.

By NCcharmer on Dec 18, 2011 at 8:49 PM

I wish you nothing but good wishes for Ears. Let me know what happens. Your health is enough worry. I hate that you have to worry about Ears as well.

Poor baby. How old is he? Is the surgery going to be scary because of his age. I know it is scary no matter what.

One of my real-life best friends has a cat with the same problem. She sounds just like you. I don't know what it does to the cat, so I don't know how they suffer, but I know they must because Christy worries about her Waldo all the time. I ask, but she nevers really gives me a straight answer.

By NCcharmer on Dec 17, 2011 at 1:11 PM

Well, at last it is something you can get rid of!! Yay! Boom a lakka lakka boom! *whurls, whurls* You will get all better. That's all we want from our bodies...behave!

By NCcharmer on Dec 17, 2011 at 12:11 PM

When you can...I ain't going anywhere.

By NCcharmer on Dec 11, 2011 at 7:49 PM

Girl, you have my email address. USE IT! I am a good listener. Promise. It won't go past my email lips.

By NCcharmer on Dec 11, 2011 at 10:50 AM

I don't care if you do, but Angela might prefer it. Haven't chatted with you in so long I was really pleased to see her use your name. I am sorry about the bad year...It's been bad for a lot of people. For once, it's nice to have other people to talk to about being in the bottom of the boat.

By NCcharmer on Aug 15, 2011 at 4:36 PM

Hey melanthiablast! I see all kinds of things here that say you are not exactly going through good times right now. I wanted to add my name to those who are wishing you well and hoping you rise above all this soon. Love ya.

If your bulbs in the backyard are 7-9" deep, they are fine! Leave them alone and they will "go to sleep" for the winter. If not, dig them up and keep them in a cool place, like a garage for the winter and re-plant them in the spring. They will spread better if left in the ground. We will look forward to having you watch the paintbol fight. Hope you enjoy it. And, I really hope you get to go to the Conference.

Okai...don't do anything to your calla lillies excapt put them somewhere, like the garage, where you can water them from time to time. They are worth it. They go dormant, don't need a lot of water and next year, they will duplicate themselves. Once a month is fine. I cannot speak to lawns because I don't do lawns. Grass is grass. It's not a plant. Okai, now what you missed is one of the most interesting and fun events ever!!! We had 34 people join HellCAtz and no other team to fight. So, I chose the Minotaur, his FireFriends and miscellaneous Mythological Friends, thanks to LIttleAPC. Greencliff called it a QUEST. If you go to my Stuff, the favorites, then Paintbolers 2011, you will see the releases we have made. The Fight does not start til August 4-midnight August 7th. If you joined you would be on my team!!!!!!!!! Please think about it. Faving and voting is acceptable. It's about having fun and people being involved. It's going to be a blast. Everybody is sharing pics because all the teams have the same goal. The cretes agreed to give the Minotaur seven youths and seven maidens every nine years. It is the ninth year and we are going to put a stop to it. I even have tanks that throw paintblols. You wait. The images are awesome. We can't post them because it doesn't start til the 4th, but it's mouth-watering. Join the fun! We'd love to have you. If you would rather be on CAT's team or LittleAPC's, you can go where you would prefer!!!

How are you? Doin' ok, I hope. Love the music critic lol. We just exposed the theme to the Paintblol Fight and it seems to have gone over well! Did you see it? I am really glad because we really worked hard.

How have you been sweetheart? It's been a while since we chatted...you ok?

By NCcharmer on Jul 7, 2011 at 8:56 PM

Well done, melanthiabast! I love calla lillies and have some on both decks. They are easy but show their growth late. Never throw them away. They will die back but with a little water now and then in the winter, they will re-bloom. That is, of course, if you give them some sort of shelter. All my plants go either in the garage (the big ones) on the left deck covered with a thermal blanket which lets rain through or on the right deck, same covering.

Hapi Birthdai cheesefriend!!! Hope it's a good one for you...eyes up, sense of humor firmly in control!!!

A friend of mine, WatogaSP, would like for me to give her a reference. She would very much like to be your friend. She is very interesting after having recently covered the world. She is also intently interested in your love for feral cats. I believe she lost either a cat or a dog recently named Nik.

When I was so torn up after I lost both my golden retrievers between Easter and Memorial Day, I could decide what to do with their ashes either. I lived on the ocaen and right between me and the water was a bern of small maritime forest bushes. Small trees that grow like bonsai trees that are formed by the wind. I spread them out in the trees. That way, every day when I came home from work an got my book and glass of wine (which is what I always did when they would bunch around me and join me), I could look out at the ocean and "see" them. Again, they would join me. I wrote about them in my book and cried like a baby the whole time. Perhaps there is somewhere you look every day at your home. It's a comforting thing to know they are there. I have moved but I got by there often when I go to the ocean.

How are you doing? Okay? Let me know.

By NCcharmer on Jun 28, 2011 at 9:22 AM

Hi melanthiabast...I only got online a moment ago and saw your message. I am so sorry about Jay. I had such high hopes. I am sure you did the right thing, even if it was the painful thing. Losing our pets is so difficult. Sometimes I wonder what they think when they lose us, such as with the girl who returned him. They don't show the grief we do, but you know they feel the loss. One thing that most of us do is make a lol, not a funny one, but one in memory. Find the perfect photo, think of what you want to say in your good-bye and then post it for the rest of us to see. We grieve together here. It's a family. For every one who says they are sorry, you will feel like they are speaking to Jay and it eases the pain just a little.

I saw your ED to dragonsbridge. She is one of my favorite cheese frens. I too have a green thumb if I can help. Make sure the bulbs are deep enough. 7-9" is good. Oh, most people plant the wrong side down. They will grow eventually, but not quite right. Miracle-gro is over-rated. Too much is over-fertilizing resulting in weak or no plant at all.

We really need your extra tulips...please send Winnie-Wonka one or pass them around so your friends can send them. You can only send one. Special reason

It has been so sad all night, I just pulled up my favorite photo which is full of joy and dedicated it to them. Tookat sent me an email that said Rhoda was on her way "to the rainbow bridge". So damn sad. We will be doing this again, for her. I did it now.

By NCcharmer on Jun 4, 2011 at 7:45 PM

Thank you for clearing up that Rhokit is a woman. I have been sniffling too hard to make sense of most of it tonight. How sad. How very sad.

I am sure everyone who knows your situation wishes there was something they could do. I sure do. I hate to hear of an animal suffering. I am not concerned about your cat's being blind. It bothers us more than it does the cat and that's the rub. It drives us nuts. He won't miss the eye either, just hate the pain. Remember animals are unique, not humans. Try to accept it and live with it. Jay will and somewhere inside you, you know it.
