Couldn't agree with you more about alternative energy sources. Did you ever see the film Orlando with Tilda Swinton (1992)? Apparently in Elizabethan times the sun did a similar whoopsy and one winter the Thames was frozen over for several months. Given the pissy, mild non-winters we generally have over here, that's hard to believe. Pip

Well, news of the Tennessee and Arkansas floods made it even as far as the BBC world reports, so I feel for you. What's the consensus over there? Global warming starting to bite or one-off crappy summer? Pipwood

Hello there Snippet! Thanks for accepting my friend request. You are one of the funniest newcomers I've seen on this site--your LOLs are really first class!! Here's one I made ages ago to welcome you to this weird but wonderful place: http://cheezburger.com/View/1903993600 A great big cheezy welcome and have fun! Best regards from gloriously sunny London, Pipwood

Okay, proof that you learn something new everyday....I had to look up the word "kitsch" to get the point of your post. LOL! Well, it's tasteful in my book. A bit of irony: kitsch is just above kitten in my dictionary. Glad to know Bigfoot isn't impeded by her many extra toes.

oh Snippet! You brighten my day! It will be spring break starting tomorrow and the kiddos are oh, soooo restless! I think I too have underestimated the crappiness of teaching ... or I need to get some stonger meds! :) Looking forward to the break ... I will check out those LOLs!

Oh my goodness! That must be a sight! Do all her extra toes seem to hinder her ability to climb or land properly onto her intended spot? I love the drawing you made of her in your profile. If you hadn't pointed out that it was a drawing I would've thought it a photo. Very lovely.

Hi Snippet! I hope you have a good time teaching. This is my first year to teach high school and I often wish I had more of the Ed background. My Art 2 and 3 kids are doing some relief prints now ... I need to get more bandaids!

Hi Snippet, Just wanted to say I like your drawing of Bigfoot and your funny story of finding Gracie. Four-footed Poly....wow! Pretty rare, I think. Usually they're just on the front paws.

Hi! I used to have a polydactyl named widgit (widgit with the extra digit) His brother named Bigfoot! Are you looking to teach at the college level? What is your area of interest? My MFA is painting and fibers now I'm teaching high school kids.
