(*ahem* "Carnival Cat is accompanied by her minion Sludge, a formless puddle of black slime that is completely loyal to her mistress and obeys her orders without question(mostly because she can't talk she only communicates in gurgling, slurping, and dripping noises whenever she attempts to vocalize) sludge is referred to as a female because the most used form is a Pegasus mare made of dripping black slime even though technically it has no gender. Catherine created her in order to fill the void left by the death of her lover. Catherine created sludge by fusing the souls of all the dead foals that never escaped the carnival with the oil from the carnival rides. She keeps her around, for ride maintenance , security, and...other needs. Her relationship with Sludge is a mixture of guilt, love and disgust."....)
