(A-lot of theater-age cartoons had to relay off a decent layout artist, because the animators had trouble doing much work without a reference of a larger image they could base it on, then let their styles and creativity flow (If a director allowed it). Nowadays, we just send storyboards to another company, expect them to make a layout with no understanding of the story or concepts (If they gave them layout sheets, the company would usually just throw 'em out) and then make "animation" by tracing reference sheets the company gave for help)

Also, it's be nice to reunite all the original gang someday. Just for one time

I had an idea for a story that I might write someday. Think of Midas legend but backwards. A man cursed for his greed so that all the gold he touches corrodes into blood and prolong his life while searing his skin. Giving detail to all the people he betrays to saciate his need of gold and the struggle that arises from his regrets.

(I dunno how to work different languages) (Just to note: MLP FiM's 1st couple episodes where animated by a cheapo Philippines company that where just sent storyboards and where told to expect full layouts and animation from that (Which is awful). It wasn't till the budget raised and they send DHX of Vancouver (Canada) to do things properly, sorta) (If anything, I'll try to be a layout artist, since they have more control on the quality than the animators or story writers in the weird production system we have nowadays)

No, thanks you for coming back and filling me with those happy memories. Also, what genre of stories?
By Abaddon_ on Oct 22, 2015 at 9:16 PM
Anyway, you are forgiven. You always were.

(Took awhile, though) (I'll also never get a job in an animation department because none exist here. It's all outsourced to poor countries for around 2-5 cents a drawing)
