Veganism is a spectrum on which every person holds their standards differently. Some vegans only care about the food they consume, while others are also concerned with the utensils they use and potential cross-contamination with non-vegan products. Since vegan restaurants need to respect and cater to all ends of the spectrum, they typically have a 'no non-vegan products allowed' policy to avoid cross-contamination. So when one family brought a ham sandwich into a vegan restaurant and put it on one of the restaurant's plates, they were understandably asked to leave. Unsurprisingly, the family didn't take kindly to being kicked out, which makes sense considering they thought it was appropriate to bring ham inside in the first place. The internet had a lot to say about it.
The waiter who asked them to leave posted on Reddit's Am I The A—Hole asked if he was wrong for making them go. Don't mess with Vegans!
