The Creepiest Things People Were Told By Children

Don't children just say the darndest things? It's usually adorable, the way they jumble together sentences that almost make sense. It's amazing how far their imaginations can go too. But sometimes... things can go a little too far. For some reason, probably due to all the horror movies with children as the main characters, kids have the capability of being really creepy without trying. Like borderline terrifying. I don't know why but I don't like it one bit.

People are sharing the creepiest things a child has told them on Reddit, and I will probably be sleeping with the lights on tonight.

It was Reddit user u/FiveDollarRimJobs (interesting name) who asked people 'seriously' to share the creepiest thing a child has ever said to them. People definitely showed up for this question. There were over 500 creepy responses in less than a day.

One night she was doing this and without turning to me she said "I fucking see you" in a weird low voice and she laid back down and went to sleep. G Reply 1 803

Nope, I don't like this one bit. I mean, do kids casually say the f-word these days? Why the low voice? Why does this always have to happen in the middle of the night? Just find an exorcist already, homegirl is possessed.

Font - HumanResourcesIRL • 15h I used to babysit this kid, who was overall very sweet, but when I would watch him overnight, he'd come into the room I was sleeping in and just stare at me, but he always listened when I told him to go back to bed. One time he asked me if I was asleep and when I said no, he said "okay, l'll come back later" and left. I was scared at first, but then I remembered that he was 6 years old and I could dropkick him if I had to

Font - happylife_88 · 21h It wasn't just one thing my son said but for 3 days he kept waking up in the middle of the night crying cause he blankets were full of smoke. They were always fine. I washed his blankets everyday hoping it would help him sleep. During the day he would talk a lot about the house being on fire. It freaked me out! I had my husband check our smoke detectors every night for while. That was a year ago and we haven't had a fire but just the way my son was so sure our house was

Font - Kwelikinz • 19h One time I was holding my two year old niece and I told her I loved her. With the straightest face, she whispered, "I hate you." Her mother must have seen the look on my face and said, "Did she tell you she hates you?" I nodded, still rattled. She said, "That's her new thing. She does it to be funny and I usually laugh. It was the creepiest exchange. 6 Reply 4 77 3 ...

Font - IAmALobster • 17h When my daughter was three, she told me to get out of bed or she'd peel my skin off with a knife. Also just before the pandemic hit, we were eating out and a man got up from another table to use the restroom. As he passed our table, she pointed at him and practically yelled "hey mama, how much blood does that guy have?" He laughed nervously and walked a little faster. Both really threw me because she's typically a sweet kid- non-violent, gets concerned when people/animal

Font - ToBoredomAGem · 16h I was carrying my 2 year old son in a backpack on a walk in the countryside, and he suddenly started chanting: Shut the sky and WAVE GOODBYE! Shut the sky and WAVE GOODBYE! He said "WAVE GOODBYE" in an inward breath like the grudge monster. It lasted the last few miles to home. G Reply 4 131 3 ...
