When we provide a wish list to someone, we obviously want them to get what we asked for. It's honestly strange if they don't get what's on the list as long as it's affordable. In today's 'Am I The A$$hole?' post, OP was upset after she watched her coworker give away the gift she got her for Secret Santa because OP didn't get her what was on her wish list. The reason OP didn't get her what she wanted is that most of it was full of romance novels, which OP fond to be 'cringe.' Also, OP hoped to broaden her coworkers' horizons by getting her something else. Obviously, no one else is surprised that the coworker gave away the gift considering she expected it to be what she asked for. Scroll down to see what the Redditors had to say about OP's judgmental decision.
We don't get why OP was disappointed when her coworker literally provided a list of gifts that would make her happy. It's not about what the gift giver wants - it's about the person receiving the gift.
She could have just bought her the novel and made her Christmas, but instead she chose to go about it in her own way to avoid feeling 'cringe.'
