Grief can make people act differently than they normally would — it's a tough process to go through. But you can't compare your own grief to someone else's, and that's what happened in this story posted to Reddit's popular community r/AmITheAsshole by Redditor u/am_i_a_grinch. The original poster described a sad situation at their workplace in which one co-worker struggled with the loss of their dog and perhaps grew resentful of her colleagues for not attending her dog's funeral. But when another colleague lost her young son, the colleague who lost her dog started comparing the losses and even went so far as to tell people she was treated unfairly when she lost her dog… compared to the woman who lost her child.
This co-worker wound up getting fired after OP confronted her about the way she spoke about others and she wildly accused OP of having an affair with another coworker. It's wild stuff.
