It is perhaps one of the most popular boomer complaints out there that nothing these days is actually serious. We mess around in situationships, quit our crappy jobs when we can't handle the heat, and our brains are so fried by our screen addictions that we can't concentrate on anything, important or otherwise, for more than five minutes.
They're not completely wrong about these things, although they should perhaps be more invested in changing up some of the factors that are causing them, instead of blaming those who feel the worst effects. We also don't have to worry about all that garbage right now, because we've got a big old plate of memes in front of us, just waiting to be consumed. Perhaps they do contribute to some of the less-than-great aspects to society, but they will only go to waste otherwise. Listen, we've got to get our kicks somehow.
