'My daughter for whatever reason, went right to this cage': Little girl and sad shelter cat are kindred spirits reunited in wholesome fashion

It wasn't initially the plan to adopt a cat, Bristy Potter, explains on her TikTok video. She happened to be passing by an area where there were rescued kitties looking for adoption. Before she could stop her, her young daughter climbed over a chair and went straight to the cage of a sweet orange kitty. The cat and the girl instantly started playing with each other through the bars of the cage and it was love at first sight. 

The shelter employees said that this is the most lively they've seen this cat, since she became depressed after having her kittens taken away. It was like the kitten's motherly instincts were still on full throttle and her heart sung out to this little girl.

The woman knew then and there she had to keep these two kindred spirits together. That this kitty and her daughter were somehow “soulmates" and they had found each other again. It broke her heart to think of them apart any longer. So she started the long processes of 1. convincing her husband that their family now needed a cat. And 2. the adoption procedures, paperwork, etc. 

Finally, after about a week, they got the good news—the kitty was coming home with them right in time for Christmas.

Because it's the holiday season, they're call this kitty their “Christmas miracle” and decided to name her Noël. The kitty and little girl were instant bffs and seem to always be playing with each other. It's a beautiful story of not only a lonely cat finding a loving forever home, but also of two creatures who truly called out to each other.
