How many memes does a person have to see before they decide that they've seen too many memes? For me, I seem to hit that limit every day. Lord, I have seen so many variations of amusing images with text on them, all kinds of different combinations designed to distract our addled minds for mere seconds. Yet, I still come back to look at more of them time and again. Sure, it's because I'm contractually obliged to, but I also seem to refuel my desire for tiny tidbits of internet funny no matter how exhausted I get with them the day before. That's nothing short of a blessing, because there are plenty of memes out there that still need some attention. They might not be the most amazing things to look at, but they fulfil a basic function. Ultimately, isn't that what most of us are trying to do every day?
