Post Grads Discuss The Types of Students They Were
What kind of student were you in high school and college? When we talk about different types of students, we tend to only focus on two ends of the Bell Curve, both of which I wouldn't say I liked when I was in school. The first type is the overachiever. Don't get me wrong, I think it's noble and wonderful to try hard in school and get good grades, but I do not respect you if you're crying in class because you got a B+. The other type of kid is the delinquent, and those kids also irritated me. There's no good reason to disrupt a class or disrespect a teacher if you're fully 16 years old. It's ridiculous! In high school, I found the middle way between these two archetypes. I was a solid A- student who was obsessed with pulling stunts and making jokes outside of the classroom. It was an honest-to-goodness win-win situation.
