Being a kid at Christmastime… there's nothing like it. I remember asking my mom if I could go to bed at like 7 pm because I was too excited to wake up the next morning. The anticipation is always the best part, and when you're a kid, it feels like pure ecstasy. I would always try my best to sleep through the night, but adrenaline would keep me awake through the wee hours, as I wondered if Santa would bring me that Nintendo DS I asked for.
Being the only kid in my family, I would always wait until all of the adults were awake before I opened my presents, so we could all do it together.
