King of the Hill might just be the animated sitcom of the early aughts that has aged the best. I know, I can already hear the distressed cries of septuagenarian Simpsons stans telling me to get off of their lawn, but hear me out! It's no secret that The Simpsons hit its stride in the 90s, but the 2000s were the decade of Family Guy, South Park, and the often underrated King of the Hill. Now I've seen all of these shows, and while they've all got their merits, King of the Hill is without a doubt the program with the most heart. It's one of those shows that doesn't even necessitate animation (no talking dogs or Christmas poos here), but it elevates the art form by being animated. Mike Judge is a hero in my book, and I am always glad he didn't stop after Beavis and Butt-Head and Daria.
