Doggy Prince Of Central Park East, Gets BMW For His Birthday

Luigi has already been followed by fans and paparazzi while hitting the streets. But to make sure things don't turn ugly, mommy has taken remote control of the vehicle. 

Luigi is a five-year-old Shih Tzu from the Upper East Side. And what better way to troll around the streets of New York if not in your personal sized BMW to beat this summer heat!?

How did this story go viral? Easy, a sportswriter for FiveThirtyEight snapped the pair on the street and his Twit-Pic. His tweet racked up over 18,000 retweets and 28,000 likes in just two days. Pretty impressive! 

Soon more people joined in and started capturing photos of Luigi and his Mom strolling around New York. 

As Anisha Lakhani told the New York Post;  "My little Luigi has always been an Upper East Side high-roller, and nothing could be more fitting for him than a Beemer."
