Who is Ali Bhatt? Well, the 24-year-old is not just a millennial superstar. She is a British Indian film actress and singer who works in Bollywood. But, the talented and glamorous performer has another side. A side we can all relate too… she is just another obsessed cat mom!
The Bhatt family, are a super pet- friendly. If you ever stalked their Instagram accounts, you'll see it. But it wasn't Alia that started the kitty revolution. It was actually her big sister Shaheen. "Shaheen used to rescue stray cats from our building and around, and bring them home. We used to give them up for adoption. Sometimes, we kept them because we got so attached to them. So, I always had these little pets around me as a child," Alia told Hindustan Times.
As we all know pets bring such joy in a persons life. And bring the fondest of memories. Alia recalled that one of her favorite memories was "When I was really small, my mom's room had a big window, from where you could see kittens and cats playing downstairs. I used to sit on the windowsill for hours at a stretch, and throw cheese for these cats." But when Alia went down to play with these cats, they'd run away! "I was like, 'I just threw cheese for you! How can you not play with me'!" Oh Alia, didn't you know that's just typical cat behavior!
Now mind you this was when the girls were very young. So imagine kids bringing home a stray cat or kitten into the home so often… we have to wonder… What did their parents think!?
Well, apparently there was much debate and many arguments about bring the cats inside. Especially when it was getting a bit crowded… However, Alia said that her parents, mostly her mom warmed up to the cats. She even recalled a funny memory in which it was time to move out of her parents house, and she wanted to take one of the cats with her, "I was moving out and wanted to take my cat Pica with me. Mom refused. She said 'No, you most definitely can't take Pica away from me.'
The Bhatt girls have had so many cats, it's a surprise she remembers so many names! Right now it's Eddie that rules her Instagram, and basically her heart. "I love to show him off. I'm super personal with my social media accounts, especially Instagram, so I love showing people how cute he is. I mean, look how cute! My friends say I'm a little crazy as at times I actually just sit and keep looking at him. But that's because I love him so much. He's my baby, and what's wrong with being obsessed with your own baby?" Umm, Nothing!
We totally agree with Alia on this! Love to know that Superstars are just like us! Crazy for cats!!
