Greetings to all you meme-loving, nasty little hobbitses. Part of the testament to the strength of the Tolkien fandom is that it has been something that has been passed down through the generations. First, there were the true OGs who loved the books when they were very first released, then, there were the legions of fans who were gained from the 1978 and 2001 versions. Now, we even have many of the people who saw the iconic Lord of the Rings adaption of the aughts in cinemas showing their kids the magic of Middle-earth, and with any luck, they will show their kids too. This is all helped along by the proliferation of Tolkien-themed memes that are in plentiful supply on the internet, something which any LOTR fan has to be grateful for. Dumb as they can be, they offer yet something else to pass down for generations to come.
