The Ring Will Get a Prequel this Year, Becoming the Second Trilogy to Deal with Rings

According to Bloody Disgusting Paramount Pictures will release a prequel to The Ring later this year titled, wait for it, Rings.

The film will reportedly show the events that happened before Naomi Watts got pulled down the literal well in the 'original' 1998 remake. Rings casting is underway for a November 13 date.

Cleverly titled sequel The Ring Two was released in 2005. The ensuing 10 years has left a large, hair-filled hole in the hearts of horror fans everywhere.
