If you're a fan of the Harry Potter books, you'll know that the whole series begins with a chapter from Vernon Dursley's perspective. He moves through the streets of London as he goes to and from work, trying his best to ignore the crowds of strange people, which are actually witches and wizards celebrating Voldemort's downfall. At one point, he actually bumps into a wizard and is aghast at his flamboyant outfit and cheerful demeanor despite having been knocked over. This scene didn't make it to the movies, but it does seem to be making its way to the HBO series.

The Dursleys and Harry
-
In the movies, the chaos cuts quickly from Hogwarts letters bursting through the house and Dudley’s classic, “Daddy’s gone mad, hasn’t he?” to the Dursleys hiding out on a stormy island. But in the books, we get the whole unhinged road trip — Vernon dragging the family all over the country in a desperate attempt to escape the letters before finally giving in.
