  • It all started when the Wright Way Rescue shelter in Illinois wrote a funny plea for his adoption and posted it on Facebook:

Text - Wright Way Rescue August 15 at 4:05 PM тоо COOL TO BЕ НОMELESS! We're not sure how Bruno hasn't found his forever home yet! He's the COOLEST cat! Hi, my name is Bruno! I am a 7 year-old polydactyl cat who is 25 pounds. There's a lot of me to love! I am perfectly healthy other than being overweight. I am on a diet, though. I am walking, playing, and doing tricks like this to lose some weight. When I am in a normal home, most of my day is spent laying around, but never far from my family. I

  • Text - Ilike to talk to you...a LOT. Be prepared for a chatty kitty! I have a couple quirky traits too....For one, I like to stand on my hind legs! This usually happens when I want food. No, my foster parents did not teach me this. They are not sure how I learned. Second, I love to be pet while I eat. It took my foster mom a little time to realize what I was meowing about, since she had just put food in my bowl. Soon she found out it's because I want pets while I eats! I will still eat if you do

  • The multi-toed, 25-pound cat with a kooky habit of standing on his hind legs, went viral

Cat - Wright Way Rescue about 2 weeks ago w n WRIGHT-WAY RESCUE Fame has gone to his head. Our thicc boi Bruno is now reviewing applications for the *PERFECT* home. He requests you make your case or post a video plea in the comments. What kind of feather wands do you have? What country do you live in? The more EXTRA, the better.

And because Bruno is A.) adorably weird, B.) has a cool party trick and C.) is majorly photogenic, tons of people applied to be his personal butler, er, owner. So, the shelter had to be picky. Few days later, they posted an update on his status - ""Our thicc boi Bruno is now reviewing applications for the *PERFECT* home".

  • And boy, did they find the right person for this fur penguin.

Lauren Paris, a Chicago-based singer and actress, not only sent Wright-Way Rescue letters of recommendations and a video tour of her home, but she also wrote and performed an original song about Bruno.

  • In a video posted to Facebook on Monday, the shelter also seemed super excited to relay the good news to Paris:

  • Paris, however, seems psyched. She’s already set up @theebrunobartlett, an Instagram account for the quirky cat.

Its first post shows Paris bonding with her big boy.
